July’s meet up for Alabama graphic designers is at @houseelevenbhm in Woodlawn on the 23rd! If you haven’t been yet, you’re gonna love House Eleven (some of the owners are architects). It’s a gorgeously renovated house (the name doesn’t lie) with a few distinct atmospheres throughout. The front rooms are dark and full of ornate vintage furniture, the coffee/bar area are styled to the moment, and the back patio area looks like a breeze is always moving through it.
If you’re just hearing about Graphic Designer Happy Hour or haven’t been yet, the brief is simple: You’re a designer? You’re invited. That’s it. Come hang out with peers. Pay your own tab. No hierarchy (we get everyone from interns to founders & ECD’s). No timesheets. No deadlines. Just community. It’s casual! No pressure. We’ll be there from 5:00–7:30pm. Everyone’s nice and if you don’t know anyone there that just means you have lots of new colleagues and friends to meet.

What is GDHH?
If you’ve never been to GDHH, it’s a simple event really: graphic designers of literally every age and experience level, from agency vets to in-house teams and solo practitioners hang out for a few hours. Low pressure, don’t feel like you have to “network” if you don’t wanna. Just meet and connect with people in the same creative field as you.
